Leadership Team

John ReillyJohn Reilly, MSW, LCSW, Psy.A is the Executive Director of Sage Day Schools and served as the Clinical Director from 1998 to 2005. Prior to joining Sage Day, Mr. Reilly was the Clinical Director of the Adolescent Substance Abuse Program at the Bergen County Division of Family Guidance. Mr Reilly attended Montclair State College where he earned a B.A. in Psychology and his MSW from Yeshiva University while working as a counselor at Straight & Narrow Inc. in their out patient unit. He is a licensed clinical social worker, a Certified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and a Certified Psychoanalyst. Mr. Reilly’s leadership has been instrumental in developing the clinical programs at Sage Day Schools, New Alliance Academy and several in-district programs.

Christopher LeonardChristopher J. Leonard, LCSW, M.Ed. is the Director of Clinical and Educational Programs at Sage Day Schools. Mr. Leonard served as Principal at the Rochelle Park campus from 1998-2011. A 1983 cum laude graduate of Boston University, Mr. Leonard taught in Central Harlem and two Bergen County school districts before earning his MSW from New York University in 1993. As a social worker, Mr. Leonard gained experience working with children, adolescents and families at the Division of Family Guidance, at Alternatives to Domestic Violence, as a member of the Hohokus Child Study Team and in private practice which he has maintained since 1995. In 1998, Mr. Leonard earned his certification in Group Psychotherapy from the New Jersey Institute for Training in Psychoanalysis. He followed this in 2002 with his M. Ed. from William Paterson University.
